Obama may be able to at least 30% white votes. For >50% white votes? Hope that Republican White House would screw up more in the latest economic crisis, and in the middle-east issue.

80% of US citizens are white. If we assume no black votes for McCain, he needs to get over 60% of white votes. As the latest polls said 31% of whites said they had a favorable opinion of Obama, it should be a easy game for McCain (in consider of the demographic of race/ethnicity alone).

However, politics is not math, and I don't have education in political science :p

I vote for the move. I don't want to see my kids feeling crazy for homework, but wish they develop self-initiation to discover what they like to do. In a practical sense, the policy lightens the load on education system, and free up resource to create sensible curriculum that matches the needs of the next generation.

For the time being, there is no replacement For Dion in Liberal Party. Kicking him out may further weaken the political ability as a opposite party. However, I believe the party is consolidating to nominate a new leader in the second half of 2008.

imo, learning a new language is not enough for us to live / work there. knowing and adapting to the work culture is much more important. for example, in many asian countries, workers have extended working hours with no family life. can you bear with that?

back to this question, i would like to learn Chinese (Mandarin) and Hindu (not on the list). the Chinese and Hindu speakers will make up >60% of world population very soon.

The torch relay for the 2008 Olympics will go to Tibet as scheduled despite the unrest in the Himalayan region, a senior Beijing organiser said on Wednesday. What a good show for the international media.

I think so. ESRB is the organization that applies and enforces ratings, advertising guidelines, and online privacy principles for computer and video games and other entertainment software in North America. The ESRB has often been accused of not rating games harshly enough for violence and other related themes. Games such as Harvester, Manhunt, Rise of the Triad and Soldier of Fortune have shown gruesome violence, yet received the M rating. Many critics have claimed that these games deserve the AO rating and were given the M for commercial reasons. Critics have claimed that the ESRB will only rate games AO if they have sexual content in them, regardless of how much violence is present.

We should not be surprised that such an organization is mixed with commercial motivations; however the public MAY stress to drive the rating decision, and so re-rate the BULLY game.

IMHO, it's hard to totally limit teens from reaching the sexual and violent games. They can find them from the internet and friends. They know their ways to get the content. It requires parents and schools to promote healthy mindsets against the lustful and lucrative entertainments. As adults and commercials, we should be aware of what we suggest to our teens.

    The BR article stated:

While a 25% decline is unprecedented in modern times, some economists are beginning to talk about it. "We now see potential for another 25% to 30% downside over the next two years," says David A. Rosenberg, North American economist for Merrill Lynch (MER), who until recently had expected a much smaller slide.

but it think it should start recover after the presidential election ... what do u think?

I don't think he could manage the relationship with Palestinians and surrounding countries, and now the home hates him too.
