Ew. What an ugly division. I however like the Packers here, their wins seem more impressive than those of the Bears, and they just beat down the Bears over the weekend. It will come down to the wire, of course...

The Panthers have some shaky wins, and I'm not convinced. They won't win at the Giants, and they may lose in Atlanta and at home against the Bucs. The problem with the Bucs is that they go on the road for back-to-back games against Atlanta and Carolina.

Atlanta, I think, doesn't have enough to climb back into it. It seems like it will come down to a tiebreaker, providing Tampa Bay wins in Carolina.

I'd like to go with the Pats, as they are the Pats, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Even without the golden boy, they're still quality. But looking at the schedule... it's a really difficult choice. But I suppose I'll go with the Jets since they're a game up at the moment.

The Jets have a tough game at Tennessee next week. But then they host the Broncos, Buffalo, Miami, and go on the road against the bottom of the barrel. The Pats go to Miami and host Pittsburgh the next two weeks and host Arizona later on.

Strangely enough, the Dolphins have the same record as the Pats, one game back, and have a pretty schedule. Obviously their next game is crucial (Pats), but until they play the Jets at the end, the worst they have is against a .500 team in Buffalo. But... I don't see them winning that game in the cold.

Assuming the Jets can win out after Tennessee...

It's the Giants obviously, I don't really get why anyone is doubting them at the moment, as even if they weren't as good as they seem, the Cowboys are banged-up underachievers, the Redskins are overrated, and the Eagles... well, the Eagles are the Eagles. Honestly, none of those three are impressive.

Me too! I'm still disappointed at the Dolphins choking against the Ravens. I think that Detroit is bound to win against the hapless Vikings or Saints at home... right?

This is gonna be good... my mind is telling me its going to be Oklahoma, but let's not underestimate TT... I'm kinda rooting for them, so they can quell the doubters (and so we have less of a damn controversy at the end of the season).

I like the way San Jose looks, they're an experienced, explosive team that finished second to the Wings last year. Unlike the playoffs, the regular season seems to suit them well. But I'm going with the Red Wings simply because they're a veteran, big-picture team that has won this award the past several seasons and now have an electrifying scorer in Hossa.

The Rangers, while a contender for the Cup, don't feel like THE team. They'll be two or three most likely, but not one. The others are solid teams riding decent streaks and stars that just don't have the combination of depth, drive, and quality for such a long run. Washington, for instance, just doesn't feel deep enough despite being held up by someone like Ovie. They'll be thinking about getting hot at the right time come Cup time.

And it's striking looking at the current standings: San Jose has 29 points on 18 games, the Rangers have 26 on 19 games, and Detroit has 25 on 16 games.

Clinton sounds like a great choice. Kerry, not so much. Not at all in fact. And I doubt he'll hand this one off to a Republican, no matter how "moderate" they claim to be.

It's a scary thing, and it isn't over yet. There are serious problems in the US power and economic structures that work to the disadvantage of the working man/woman.

Haha, it seems like a long way away, but it will be here before we know it.

I say why not the Celtics? They got past the hard part, being a first year clashing of the egos and struggling down the stretch, they're the obvious choice... and I don't really see anyone in the east that "impresses" me.

I'm sure he'll be busy writing, speaking, volunteering, and even political relations - all the trappings of the upper class. Wonder if everyone will be adverse to giving him a job. Probably not.

My how things change. It all starts with Moyer doing what I expected him to be doing at the beginning. And suddenly, the Phillies hitting woes start to dissipate. Suddenly the opposition on the mound isn't shrouded in mystery. They needed something special, and they got it. Can we expect the end, here in the middle of Game 4?

Well done Buckeyes, you shot yourself in the foot again!

Seriously, another game they should have won, another game of stupid penalties, turnovers... I hate Ohio sports.

I don't know about Canada, but it won't happen soon here. This is the land of "do what you want without responsibility" where the food is almost as godly as money. We love eating, it distracts us, especially in an economically tough time as now. We don't want our food to be messed with and I'm sure the companies and the government don't care enough to risk messing with money.

It will take some sort of scrutiny leading to public awareness... maybe after we aren't distracted by economics and elections.

This is a good match that may very well determine a spot in the national title game... red-hot Penn State has the better stats, but I wouldn't write off my Buckeyes to pull a win from their butts at home.
