Unlike Diao Yu Tao, which is in dispute between mainland China, Taiwan, and Japan, the issue of Dokdo is quite different. Korea, unlike China and Taiwan, regularly have military personnels there. If taken to international court, that is actually one of the arguing points that have going for them. And the Korean government is much stronger in its stance when compared to either governments east and west of the Taiwan strait. The negotiation probably will go on for quite some time still, but at present, Korea owns the island without formal Japanese recognition only.

Barring from Tsang totally balking on the Olympics, and barring from a major upset in the legislative election, I think China will make him stay through his term, however reluctantly they may be. It would be extremely disgraceful for China to see two CEOs they have hand-picked in a row being replaced in the middle of the term...

Fact is, we don't need a great CEO; we need a democratic system that would select a CEO that is accountable to the entire population of Hong Kong. Tsang was a decent officer before he became CEO, but once he has the power in his hands, it's downhill from there.

I disagree with the reasoning of Obama. Oil price right now does not reflect the actual COST of drilling and refinery. It is a price heightened by speculation and other financial activities. The announcement's purpose is not really to increase the supply, it is to send a message that high-priced trading is not to be tolerated.

I think it depends on how good a player Green Bay thinks Aaron Rodgers is. If they are bringing back Favre, Rodgers is not going to be a Packer for long...

Green Bay has said they are through with Favre... I don't think it's certain... but... surprisingly, Green Bay fans are not as welcoming as you'd think.

It's not like I am using YouTube to watch anything inappropriate... I don't think I will be sued for watching old 80 videos.

The Argos got embarrassed in Edmonton. In front of their home fans, I think they will have a trick or two up their sleeves.

The Roughriders have gone through a lot of changes, and many picked them to finish last in the West (which they well may). But, I don't want to leave the bandwagon just yet... until they lose their first game.

Winnipeg looked outclassed in the game against BC played at Winnipeg, so when the game returns to BC Place for the Lions... I think the result would be equally as one-sided.

I actually am considering my options here... not just because of gas price, but because I feel that, as the hybrid technology matures, the price for a hybrid vehicle will hopefully go down to a point where I can afford to pay a little extra off the bat for a more environmentally-friendly choice...

A quick count from the sportsnet.ca website shows that each of the Canadian teams have signed the following number of players (this include re-signing of players whose contracts have expired, and minor league players to two-way contracts that would allow them to play with the big club should needed):

    Calgary: 7; Edmonton: 3; Montreal: 6; Ottawa: 6; Toronto: 6; Vancouver: 9

The Canucks have signed the most number of bodies, but with the exception to Dimitra, they are all fourth-line players or minor-leaguers... :(

As I have mentioned, the Canucks signed Hordichuk and Johnson during the first two days of free agency.

The Canucks have just signed Pavol Demitra today, but that's after several others have been signed, so I guess the answer to this prediction should be "another UFA not mentioned here."

How can it be? As long as you require a service provider to give you the service (and I guess there will always be one, whether that be a private company, or by the state as some futuristic novels suggest), there will be ways to track who is doing what... Big brother is always going to be watching...

Nadal is a gamer, but that knee has been bothering him for quite some time now... I'd say he should rest it and begin training later for the US Open.

However, isn't he also supposed to be competing for Spain at the Olympic games in August? I'd say, if his knees are holding up, he probably would want to try and play and win a gold at Beijing.

Considering the Wii Fit is still being sold out so frequently even though the game has been launched for so long, and knowing that PS3 does not have another much anticipated mega-game up its sleeve due for release, i think Wii will continue to lead PS3 by a substantial margin.

Maybe Sony will consider reducing the price for its console, or reduce the cost of its games in the summer? (wishful thinking)

Rogers, the carrier provider for i-phone in Canada, has announced a temporary reduction in the i-phone data plan (2 or 8 gigabyte plans). However, this is still nowhere near the ones offered in the U.S., where almost all data plan carry an unlimited data limit.

I'll wait until the plans become more reasonable before I'd even consider buying an i-phone...
