The oscars are a heavily scripted event, without the writers I dont think that it will be able to go on. Unless of course they outsource it :) heh

There is no way that this will happen. Sure there are a few bad apples coming out of China, but when lumped with all of the toys that get produced in china the dangerous ones are a very small percentage. Americans want cheap stuff, there are external costs associated with cheap production which the consumer does not see until it is too late.

Well, the idea behind lowering the interest rate is to increase the money supply. If the money supply increases then spending should increase. This is the reason why the interest rate set by the bank of Japan was all the way down to 0% for so many years.
