Losing a pet isn't like losing a close relative (human), and there are some wealthy persons who may pay for a clone job, however the mainstream average joe or doe, will not opt for the clone job. It really isn't the same animal as you originally had and the closeness just isn't there, as each animal's traits are different, and are subject to the upbringing, training & loving care given while young. You cannot duplicate certain traits. Cloning will never become a big deal, most likely a fad that will fade into obscurity.

Oil currently trading 120 ++ should stay between 115 and 125 all week. that takes it thru May 15. Not rocket science, Oil market greed.

Due to the current trend in the price of gold, I feel that the gold price will continue its climb toward the 900 mark by the 10th of June or sooner, As gold has increased from 852 On May first to 882 on May 12th. that is an increase of 30 in 12 days. This could easily make 900-920 before june 1, but due for a minor correction around the 3rd week of May. Then it's an easy move to make up the next hundred points over the next 6 months. I would suspect gold to be pushing the 1050 to 1100 Mark by Dec 31, 2008

If you are a politician you learn to overcharge, overstate, and otherwise take as much as possible and give as little as possible. Since when does the gov'ts give breaks??? Only to criminals, illegals, perverts. No they will find a way to smooth over the publicity of the fact of overcharging, and come up with an excuse. or some politician will come up with a diversionary use for the funds to keep the money. Read my lips: NO REFUNDS.

No new city by 2010 or 2020. Why? where's the beef? Americans are concerned about:
THE ECONOMY, THE WAR IN IRAQ. THE UNEMPLOYMENT, THE RISING COST OF GAS,
FOOD, TAXES, INFLATION, THE TERRIBLE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, AND a miriad of other problems that is facing our society, where is the money, the incentive,. Are you nieve enough to think that energy guzzling AL GORE will prevail? The man who claims all sorts of things and can't prove anything.

Since when does placating a unruly child cause them to change? For the Druggies it is a real candy store, for the rest of the populace why cannot they understand this group is not the productive portion of society, the group that is out to help others, to do humanitarian acts, but to be a drag on society, to lead others into a life of misery, and depravation. After so long a time the chemicals change their brain, their motives, their actions, and not for the good of others or themselves. Spend the money to put them thru rehab not more free drugs. Do the people who are living off the gov't funds want a change --No way--And there won't be a change any time soon.

I have to agree with Arthur, The legal ramifications with an outright ban would certainly clog the court system, with canada, like america with an aging populace. Recirtification, most likely, Higher rates a definate, as insurers seek to control their profits, some backlash regardless. American insurers will look to jump on a similiar bandwagon ASAP.

Hillary wants the job so bad she is willing to pump millions of her own money into the campaign, do you really think that the egotistical , arrogant , loud mouth, lesbian will give up ? No way she is in until the June convention, she wants to prove that she is the boss. Go to Little Rock, Arkansas and talk to the people who know the real Sleaze, you will then know the real Hillary, the opportunist, the consumate liar. Talk to the secret service that had to put up with her, for 8 years while cocane snuffer bill desicrated the honor of the Presidency with adultry in the white House. Learn the truth of the Clinton Shame on America.

America leadership in GDP is shrinking every year, as we change from a producing country to a Service country. Since the average life of many products are 5 to 8 years, and as we continure to produce less and less, the decline of gdp in america shrinks and China leaps ahead. 4 years ago china's GDP was 22% +/- of America's GDP that has increased to better than 33% in less than 3 years (2007 stats not in yet.) so at that rate it would take about 18 years. However, The latest figures will show a much greater increase than that when the current Gdp figures are tallied. I predict China will take the lead by 2018, Sooner if America cxontinues on it's present course of spend spend, debt and more debt.

The economy will remain in limbo for about 12 more months, with the fed, the stock brokers and the banks manipulating the currency & the markets for their respective advantages. After the election, and whoever wins, the next 3 months (give or take) of 2009 will usher in a deeping recession, with inflation rising, Oil at over 150 dollars a barrel, The dollar furthur declining to low or below 60 (currently about 73) They don't want to call it A depression, but that is what it will be. More bank failures, more forclosures. Illegals creating more problems. Doesn't sound rosy, but neither does a debt that we cannot pay, And with the Pres (present and future) and all of the idiots in Congress who are only worried about filling their own coffers, and couldn't give a damn about the rest of us. Why isn't something being done about the absurd profits of the oil companies??? The Health Care Rip-offs, Look up on the internet who is giving money and to whom. Big OIl, big polluters, foreign interests.

I predict the area of Green Energy will gather some steam, but not to become a trend, as the logistics aren't there, its not sexy, not very hypeable, and it's got a lackluster name. Already many new bio-refinerys are not being built, and the true cost of producing biofuel is more HYPE not reality, more than it's worth. All the rest are sucking gas, So the new trend has to be outside the norm. The Area of most concern is the economy, Jobs, food costs, etc. So the next great trend has to be: Diversified Areas that include: Revival of American Know how.
New American 'Business, which is: ( Production, Jobs, new Technology, Oil and Gas Wells, Gold & silver mines, Water electrolis for Hydrogen fuel production.) New technology.

External investments in America will continue, as the deflated dollar makes foreign currency
investments make sense. Buy while the dollar is dropping, either way they are winners, If the dollar takes a dive they win, they bought into the largest economy in the world, and bought reasonably cheap, If the economy recovers the investment increases, How do you lose? Remember 40% of the world doesn't even have indoor plumbing, or toilet paper. So why buy elsewhere? Besides the buying of America isn't by Joe Asia, or Joe Europe it is by Major Corporations, Foreign Banks, and Soviern Country Funds. We don't even own the famous Westinghouse corp., a major American powerhouse. France owns major Water Companies, Canada owns the rail lines that are the major north south backbone of our country. States are selling our Toll roads to foreign companies. In 5 or less years, we won't be able to pay our bills, bankruptcy time., Meanwhile we fiddle away our resources in Iraq, Afganastan, and give it to Wal-Mart that kills private enterprise, and sends Billions to China. Meanwhile we sit back and watch 2 idiots spend 100's of millions dollars trying to seduce the stupid public on how they will shaft them when they get elected. It's no wonder our money is falling, everyone in America is asleep at the wheel.

Microsoft will take a passive stance while yahoo tries to muddle thru, Microsoft isn't thru with the possibility of acquiring yahoo, and sees the opportunity to buy it for less, they were willing to up the ante in late negotations, but didn't like having their feet being held to the fire, so its sink or swim for yahoo over the next few months, but Microsoft will come back after the board meeting, and after the shareholders get a chance to rake management over the coals, They do not want to lose key design & software Engineers, and will buy Yahoo for 25 to 28 not 31. New offer in Late August.

Thanks for the welcome, I enjoy the site, like the opportunity to put in a few thoughts, or opinions on where things are headed from my perspective. Enjoy the other Ziibos comments, particularly those that give some explanation of why they base their opinion. Gives some rational to their thought process.

i feel the price will adjust upward however not rapidly, I would expect the may 15th price to be between 895 and 905. I like 898 for a definative number, and that is going out on a limb.
I do see a return of pressure on the 950 mark by the 2nd week of June however.

I believe that May 9th will come and go, meanwhile I believe that Microsoft may be buying up Yahoo options, if they are truly going to go after yahoo in a big way. The option listing for May shows 149 thousand call options at 30.dollars, and could be a move to dilute the shareholders and still keep within the original offer. I think Microsoft doesn't want the bad publicity of a hostile takeover, and the possibility of losing good employees, and is posturing themselves with the proposed new slate for the board. Microsoft will make some concessions if they can get a friendly deal done in short order, but if Yahoo persists, and holds firm I think Ballmer will take a walk.

Market Crash---Very Unlikely, Consider the real facts. 300,000,000 people in America.
One out of every 125 is a millionaire.that equals 2,400,000 miiiionaires. Now thte Math....
2,400,000 times an average (estimate/ guestimate) of a average worth of 5,000,000 equals
12,000,000,000,000 or 12 trillion dollars. The remaining 297.6 Miillion at an average of 50,000 equals 14.8 trillion, that's 26.8 Trillion dollars. Then add all the Corporations value, lets say another 35 Trillion or at least a total of 60 Trillion Dollars. The rest of the economies of the world cannot let America go belly up, because they would also fold up. A deep recession, Yes it is more than on the horizon, but the market keeps getting bolstered by media hype, and pumping by the fed, but a 1929 crash all over again, very, very unlikely. Expect a substancial market correction to drop the DOW back down to the 7-8000 range. possibly by the 4th quarter, of 08 or 1st quarter of 09.. Run away inflation, steep price increases, gouging by every greedy co., & individual net worth plummeting, while the rich pile up the riches even more. More Homeless, more Hungry....

A review of the Call and Put options for Yahoo reveals price of calls lowering, puts increasing so if the option folks have it right the price of Yahoo should go down, I think the price of yahoo will drop to the low 20's by may 2. Ballmers comments lately seem to be tempered a bit, I think he will take a hard stance and go for a lower price, and if not accepted will walk away.

With the strike set to go in the UK, to slow down the deliverly of oil, with the future traders worldwide having a field day making money on the backs of the working poor, do you really believe that the price won't escalate?
