Suggested Predictions

In a shocking development, news suggest that former NDP leader Ed Broadbent and former liberal prime minister Jean Chretien are trying to help the two opposition parties form a coalition to oust the recently-elected Conservative government.
The Liberals currently have 77 seats in the house of commons, and the NDP has 37. The two parties combined still have fewer seats than the Conservatives' 143, but if Bloc Quebecois and their 49 seats decide to support a motion to topple the Conservatives by trying to form a government themselves, governor general Michaelle Jean may have no choice but to allow this to happen, since the Conservative government is only elected a month ago. There are many uncertainties to this. Two of the major ones include who would be named the prime minister, and whether another federal election will happen. Current liberal leader Stephane Dion is set to step down in May, while Canadians are clearly unwilling to vote again... What will happen?

Suddenly, a Liberal-NDP government seems like an inevitable reality, which really is horrible in my opinion as neither parties have won a mandate to rule.
1. Who can be the prime minister? Dion? Not likely, but who will be the PM if the liberal leadership election isn't going to happen until May?
2. If the Liberals or NDP topple the Conservatives and force another federal election (2nd in 2 months), voters will be so infuriated that they may vote en mass to give the Conservatives a majority - what good does it do for the NDP or not Liberals?
Personally, I feel it is just a gesture by two old politicians who want some lime-light, not to mention that now the Conservatives are backing off from the plan to strip party funding changes.
