Microsoft Windows 7, the next version of Windows, is scheduled for public release in Jan 2010. It promises to fix most of the problems in Windows Vista. And recently, Microsoft releases a pre-beta version for developers to try.

    By 2010 those of us in a Windows network environment may not have a choice since a goodly portion are skipping Vista.
    The early tests of Windows 7 tho are already have a disappointing "lipstick on a pig" look to them.

    I'm still using Windows XP... and if Win7 is coming out in 2010, I think I'll just ride it out without worrying at all about Vista.
