Sony has just announced that, in light of the strong Canadian dollar (it took Sony THAT long to see that the Canadian dollar has been strong against the USD?!), they will be cutting prices on the Canadian playstation store. The price drop will be "phased in," according to the spokesperson.
Currently, a PS3 with a 40GB hard drive is selling $399 on both sides of the border. The price may drop in light of this announcement. Other downloadable contents will see a price cut as well. In light of this announced price cut, will you be purchasing a Song PS3 in Q2 of this year?

If the price drop is substantial, I probably would seriously consider getting a PS3 - like I've said, even if it is not used as a game console, it is a cheaper option as a Blu-ray machine. But money is tight... so... we'll see.
