Whether you are an environmentalist or you just get sick and tired of the high gas price, you might be interested in getting a hybrid vehicle soon.
Let's predict if you will buy one in 2008. Here is a list of hybrid cars in production today: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...

I won't buy it,because I think gas price will stable, and I think hybrid's car tech. still not maturing.
My family is a bit more conservative and still sticking with gasoline cars. I actually did some math for my dad who was considering both Corolla and Prius. With my dad's driving usage (30km/day), he can save about $4500 CDN of gasoline in 10 years if he goes with Prius (hybrid). This is assuming the gas price will stay the same. But Prius is at lest $10,000 more expensive than Corolla.
So, he ended up getting Corolla instead. I can see why the main reason of buying a hybrid car is not cost alone.
