Will Wal-Mart reverse DRM decision by the end of 2008?

Wal-Mart sent an email to its digital music customers on 26 September 2008 to advise that the company will shut down its digital rights management (DRM) support on 9 October 2008. Without DRM keys, the music purchased by Wal-Mart customers can't be moved to other computers or devices, but Wal-Mart is quick to point out that they can be burned to disk prior to 9 Oct.

Microsoft and Yahoo attempted to shut-down their own DRM servers. Public backlash caused them both to reverse the decisions.

Will Wal-Mart follow in their footsteps are boldly follow its own path?
