President George W. Bush announced on Jun 28 the United States would lift some trade sanctions on North Korea and remove the communist nation from its terrorism list, a dramatic move that came after Pyongyang provided long-awaited details of its nuclear program. Bush gave 45 days notice to Congress he plans to de-list North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism. Stephen Hadley, Bush's national security adviser, said the U.S. does "not have any evidence" North Korea supported terrorist activity in the past six months.
Will the de-listing process go smoothly? will North Korea be treated as a normal nation by US?
