Will US De-list North Korea as a State Sponsor of Terrorism?
iana ( Score Rank: #408 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) iana  |  will close on 01-Jan-2009 (29 days from now)
North Korea began disabling the reactor at Yongbyon last year in return for economic aid and diplomatic concessions, including its removal from a US list of countries which sponsor terrorism.

South Korea's foreign ministry said on Sep 3, 2008 that North Korea had begun reassembling the reactor in a protest against Washington's delay in removing it from the US list of state terrorism sponsors. Any collapse in the so-called six-party deal to disarm North Korea would be a blow to the Bush administration, which has touted the agreement with Pyongyang as a foreign policy success.

Will the de-listing process go smoothly? will North Korea be treated as a normal nation by US?

It's official. The member of the "axis of evil" has been de-listed in an attempt to salvage the failing disarmament accord, despite conservative concerns and some unsolved issues with Japan. How long will it last?

US is losing its influence over Middle East, Georgia, South America. It is the best time for Korea to bargain with US. Before the delisting actually happnes, there will be more back-and-forth requests by North Korea.

Hard to say. It really depend on the next President as Bush has nothing to do with it now.
