Will Universal & Paramount declare Blu-ray exclusive in Q1 2008?
Guru ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) Guru  |  was scored on 02-Apr-2008 (710 days ago)
the last two major studios backing HD DVD, NBC Universal and Paramount, are opening the door for a switch to Blu-ray. These studios have commitments to release some discs this year in HD DVD, but both have ended their exclusive commitment to that format, which is backed by a group led by Toshiba. This all happened after Warner Brothers went exclusively Blu-ray. Will Unversal and Paramount go a step further and join the Blu-ray camp?

Neither studios ever declared Blu-ray exlusive even after HD-DVD was dead.

If one of the two studios go Blu-ray, the other one will do the same immediately. The HD format war will go on for another half year at least. It should end some time later in 2008.

I think the war will end in 2008 for sure.
