    predicted: [ 20% ] Toyota hydrogen car in 2008
Although Honda has the advantage by being the first one to release a consumer hydrogen car, putting $100,000 USD price tag on it won't get it very far. The first manufacturer to release a hydrogen car with similar reliability as Prius will win the market. And Toyota had a good track record for that. Still, I think 2008 is too early. Probably 2009.

    I found an off-beat news:
Back in 2005, Toyota put a number to the fuel cell car equation: $50,000. According to Toyota board member Kazuo Okamoto, Toyota aims to reduce the price tag on a fuel cell-powered car from today's (largely theoretical) $1 million to a more accessible $50,000 by the year 2015.

So Honda beat Toyota to it this time. hahaha. A consumer Hydrogen car definitely sounds more impressive than a electric-hybrid. The then execution counts too. We will see if Honda can release a successful product this time. For now in terms of brand image, Honda is greener than Toyota a tiny bit.

    predicted: [ 10% ] Toyota hydrogen car in 2008
The Honda FCX Clarity looks pretty good. But for 100K, it is too pricey. Maybe Toyota can make a cheaper hydrogen hybrid car. That would be more practical.

I think Toyota is testing its hydrogen hybrid car. They might be taking the hybrid approach instead.
