What is ZiiTrend?
Will the Wall Street "Bailout" pass thru Senate and House by 10-5-2008?
DMMc ( Score Rank: #7 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) DMMc  |  was scored on 06-Oct-2008 (45 days ago)
The latest revision of the Wall Street / Credit proposal is to come to a vote today, 1 Oct. 2008, in the Senate. If it passes there as expected, the House could act as soon as this evening to vote on it and get the Bill to the President to sign.
Do you believe that the Bill will clear both houses by the end, 5 Oct. 2008, of this coming weekend?

The US needs the bill to pass, and right now, the hard-core Republicans are just making postures... they know that the collapses of one more major financial institution would cause catastrophic results... they HAVE to pass the bill eventually.

Just wondering why I got a negative vote for a comment I've made - as far as I know, I was just making an observation, and pointing out of what I believe will inevitably happen... do I get a negative vote just for that?

Stocks bounced back Tuesday amid widespread expectations that the Bush administration's US$700-billion Wall Street bailout proposal will garner enough support to pass as early as Wednesday. The U.S. Senate has agreed to vote on the financial bailout package Wednesday night that will include an increase in the amount of bank deposits insured by the FDIC to US$250,000 from US$100,000, a Senate aide said Tuesday.

IMO, both parties want to pass the bailout after showing "enough" concerns to the voters. After all, pouring more money is the only way to rescue quickly.

I'm afraid you are right. I do not believe that this bill is the correct solution but I do agree that it is the way the only way to quickly clear the immediate problem. Fixing a broken system tho is like fixing a junk car. When it's all said and done you still have a junker that is going to fail again.

What is bothering me the most on this is that other plans were postulated but all were ignored or dismissed out of hand.
