As I reported earlier, three neighbouring provinces have demonstrations and protests, and some violence have broken out as well. Let's just hope the violence will stop (whichever way it is coming from) and that the people of Tibet and the rest of China will deal with their differences in a peaceful and diplomatic way.

According to Ming Pao in Hong Kong, the protests and demonstrations have spread into 3 other neighbouring provinces. While none of the demonstrations are of the scale like those in Lhasa, I guess the prediction has its answer already... :p

Protests have already spread to a third province with minor demonstrations... It's "interesting' to see how the different media outlets are looking at this incident: some are showing repeatedly how the Chinese government are trying to suppress the protest, while others are showing how some protesters are destroying materials everywhere. I think if we combine the two different types of picture, we will get a more accurate picture of what is actually happening.

it's how the government controls the media: some want to picture the violence side of the riots; some (esp. foreign / right-wing news) want to picture the dictatorship. both pictures may or may not be accurate. in this incident, i tend to believe that the chinese gov. is completely controlling the media.

    predicted: [ Most Likely ] [ 62% ] It'll stay in Tibet & Sichuan

it will not wide spread in China as the majority may not be too concerned about Tibet. however, it's definitely lots of international protests as it is a a golden time to press on the communist gov. during the Olympics period.

The Chinese government knows how to use the global media well this time. Getting smarter, I should say. Better to have the world sees the ugly side of Tibet protests so the government can extreme measures before/during the Olympics without the Western world questioning them.
