I know this question is kind of silly. But rumor is a rumor, and I cannot just ignore it. According to the recent update from ZDNet, the next gen iPod nano might have a built-in GPS:

I personally cannot think of a good use for a GPS within a music player. What's your thought in this?

    Okay, can someone tell me why an iPod needs GPS? I don't see the iPod having wifi capability, so it probably won't have a mapping application. And unlikely a camera which can really take advantage of GPS data for photography, a music player doesn't really need GPS. Please tell me otherwise. I really wanna know.

    Pretty well every electronic gadget has a GPS now... so I can see the technology going in... I just don't see it happening so soon though.
