What is ZiiTrend?
Will the Indian economy (GDP) surpass the USA economy? If so then when?
General_Mayhem ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) General_Mayhem  |  closed on 30-May-2009 (175 days ago)
China is the upcoming force in the globe today. However India is not far behind. It has a huge population, vast resources and well educated population.

Will the USA only slip to second place or will it slide all the way to third in the world economy?

As long as US remains a super military power, I don't think any other country could surpass its economy strength.

I won't say never. But it is not something that can happen within 50 years. US economy will have to grow in a much slower rate in order for India to surpass it in less than 50.
