      Probably because the Blu-ray movie releases are picking up speed. That might help the PS3 sales a bit.

    This is interesting. The Japanese porn industry decides to go with Blu-ray disk format seems to have a positive effect with the PS3 sales. Although Sony will not official manufacture porn blu-ray disk. But I wonder if they provide any behind-the-scene support to the porn industry in using blu-ray.

    Wii needs a new breakthrough for more interesting games using the control. Hope it won't be a hype like the para para dancing matts years back.

      I think para para was a success. It lasted for quite a while. If Playstation 3 can create similar level of hype, I am sure it can steal from attention from Wii. That will be interesting.

    Although mod chips will help the sales of the console hardware itself, I suppose Nintendo makes their big bucks in the game software and its licensing. With such low price tag for Nintendo, I really doubt they make a lot of money out of the hardware. But yes, I totally agree Wii will be the top sales console in Aug, maybe even this Christmas.

    I think Wii will be the winner because it's a console for everyone (not only teenagers). Also, with the available mod chips in the market, it will attract more ppl to buy it. PS3 is a power console with better graphics compared to Wii, but so far it lacks of good games to support its sale. I think PS3 sale may go up next year when more good games come out (eg. Grand Theft Autos, FF13, Metal Gear... etc).

      Wii is such successful gaming console. I think one of the key factor of being successful is to find a new target in a very competitive market, - female. I can see it will beat the rest of the consoles, because there aren't a lot of serious gamers out there, but many female want to try new stuff...

      Yeah, and old people too. Wii is the first console that I have seen seniors playing. Kind of cool seeing grandma wacking at virutal tennis ball.
