Will police find the killer and/or the spider monkey from the Gr. Van Zoo?
black-shoulder ( Score Rank: #6 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) black-shoulder  |  was scored on 08-Jul-2008 (44 days ago)
An act of cruelty occurred this past week at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. The zoo was broken into, and the cage where the spider monkeys were kept were broken into. A 15-year-old male spider monkey, Jocko, was crushed in the skull and was killed. His long-time companion, 17-year-old Mia, is currently lost, believed to have been taken to be sold in the black market as an exotic pet.

It is not the first time the Greater Vancouver Zoo was broken into, but this is perhaps the most horrendous crime that was done to an animal.

Do you think the police would be able to catch the involved individual(s) and/or find the missing monkey? We will use June 30 as the cut-off point for this prediction - anything that happens subsequently would not count.

not much hope ... the monkey might already been killed as the media has widely covered the issue.

Sadly, I think the chance for the monkey being found is extremely low. Most likely Mia has been sold to the black market, or may have been killed for gaming purposes already. The person who did this may be caught if there are tips available, but I'm not too optimistic for that either.

This is a tough prediction. I can only predict what I think is most likely. I doubt the police will spend too much resource into looking for the monkey, so the chance of it being found is... unforatunately quite low.
