We all know global warming is imminent. The question is how serious it will be. And how many species are being affected. Let's talk about polar bears. Some scientific estimates indicate polar bears will be extinct by 2050.

    Pure polar bears will still be around, but mostly in zoos. Polar bear hybrids with other bear species will be the predominant gene reserve in the wild. (This hybridisation occurs naturally, and may well increase as polar ice melts.)

    I think they will be around, but probably only in captivity. Global warming is going to wipe out a lot of animals...
