The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court is seeking the arrest of Sudanese President Umar al-Bashir over alleged genocide and crimes against humanity in Sudan's Darfur region. Amnesty International has repeatedly called for accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Darfur conflict. Hundreds of thousands of people have died and more than 2.5 million have been uprooted.
