Icahn is still having his proxy fight to gain control of the Yahoo's board in an attempt to get the company acquired. Since Microsoft just said no, Icahn might approach other buyers instead.

    In August, terms of the deal will see Icahn join the board along with two of his nominees, expanding the board slightly and giving him access to more information about the company as well as influence over its future.

    So we can't say he has controlled Y!.
