Will Dell start selling Windows 7 computers before the end of 2009?

With all the stability and software compatibility issues, Windows Vista really gave Windows a bad name. It was so bad that Microsoft decided to tell everyone it is actively working on the next big project - "Windows 7", and emphasized that it is NOT a minor release (whatever that means):

What I am interested in is when we can get our hand on one of these Windows 7 machines. Because Dell is the biggest online OEM, I am using it to verify this prediction.

    Absolutely. W7 will be released in 2009, not 2010. Vista is a train wreck. Do not buy it. If you are buying a new computer insist on Windows XP. It will be around until 2014, even with the release of Windows 7. Vista is on a level with the release of new Coca-Cola - an unmitigated disaster with Omaha eight-or-better and total failure.Absolutely. W7 will be released in 2009, not 2010. Vista is a train wreck.     I expect Microsoft to release more "news" about Windows 7 instead of the actual software throughout 2009. We probably won't see the final release until early 2010.
