On May 13, the billionaire investor Carl Icahn is considering running a proxy campaign to elect new board members at Yahoo Inc. after the company failed to forge a deal to merge with Microsoft Corp. A few financial institutes had claimed to sue the management for not closing the deal while Microsoft offer >60% premium.

    He stays ... Unless he can sway shareholder sentiment before Yahoo's annual meeting Aug. 1, Yang could still lose his job in a boardroom coup being attempted by investor Carl Icahn.

    If Yahoo is kept independent, they still need a good leader in the battle against Google and MS. Did Yang do a good job in the last few years!? His result has been well reflected in the recent share price. Perhaps he would not be replaced by July, but shareholders would like to find a better CEO.

    The whole thing is money-driven. Bottom line is, Yahoo will be sold only when the price is outrageously high... Yang isn't going to be replaced that soon.
