It's not April Fools folks. The Associated Press has reported that the animal rights group PETA asked Ben & Jerry's to make ice-cream with breast milk instead of cow's milk. The request reportedly received a chilly reception. But will Ben & Jerry's be convinced to announce at least one breastmilk flavour by the end of the year?

    I think Ben & Jerry's is just the company to try something crazy like this. However, the odds of getting enough breast milk to make even one flavor is staggering.

    This is absurd. I think Ben and Jerry are smart enough to know that this would never fly in the markets and in fact would make them a laughingstock. I can usually get behind anything promoting animal rights, but even for PETA this has to be above and beyond the realm of logic.

    No way this will happen. PETA is often suggesting these over-the-top ideas to highlight the problems with the treatment of animals... but think of the various complaints there will be when they promote a product like this...
