I know other phones have it, but they just released the ability to triangulate from cell phone towers (though it horribly broad in it's determination). Ultimately, Apple will only do it if it's extremely simple and always works.

iPhone owners or owners-to-be must be very disappointed that Steve Job didn't announce anything exciting about this device in MacWorld.

A GPS module can make the iphone more bulky than what it is now. Apple might just include better software (something similar to Google My Location) to approximate user's location, and that doesn't require GPS.

One of the major complaints about the iPhone was that it had no built in GPS. Apple is generally pretty good at listening to their customers.

I want it to be a YES. I will be the first one to line up for one if they add GPS to the next iPhone. If anyone has any rumor on such device, please post it! Thanks~

I'm sure that apple may need more features especially GPS to compete with others h/w or even platform including androids.
