Will Americans drink more Starbucks than Coca-Cola in 2008?

It is definitely a trend that Americans drink more coffee and treats all carbonated drinks as non-healthy liquid. Do you think Americans will buy more drinks from Starbucks or Coca-Cola in 2008?

I think bottled drink will always get more popular. People just need to constantly consume bottled sugar water, whether it is coffee, pop, or tea. It is way easier to stock up 100 cans/bottles of pop compared to getting a 100 cups of starbucks latte.

A report, so called Ready To Drink Coffee, indicates that the segment has the potential to achieve significant growth in some major international beverage markets over the coming years. The combined markets of Japan, North America and West Europe saw consumption reach 3,163 million litres by the end of 2006, equating to an estimated market value of Euros 12,410 million.

well .. if one of us is interested in this topic too, please find out the consumption of pop as well.

Yeah, coffee drink is getting more popular. That's why coca cola introduce the Coke Blak coffee drink. I tried it. It is like a coffee/coke hybrid. Taste pretty good, but I will never substitute real coffee with that.

No, not everyone is a coffee drinker. Not even if there is a big brand name behind it. On the other hand, the young generation has been brain washed to drink more pop than water. And this will continue to happen.
