Amazon just released Kindle, the e-book reader. And according to its product page, it claims to have sold out the product already. But unfortunately, it doesn't show the quantity sold. That leaves us with no clue how popular the product really is. So, you think Kindle will be popular?

    I love the technology behind it and can't wait to see more aged and sophisticated models. I think the idea of Kindle will be a hit, just not Kindle itself. It's a pioneer venturing out in a world in order to be poked and prodded. Not too many first releases make it in the technology market. I hear the side buttons are too easily hit and the case looks too bulky for the size of the screen. Would probably do them better if they got a different case designer for the next version.

    The Sony Reader looks much nicer. But the Amazon Kindle store has more books for sale... I'm still trying to figure out which one I want, but I do want one! Will be nice to use when traveling!

      Kindle (a e-book reader) is a great idea. Perfect for people who used to read paperbacks. But with Kindle, you can only buy books from Amazon, that's a bit limiting. I guess Amazon is big enough to carry most of the books we want. I hope Kindle supports other Latin based languages like Spanish etc. That will make the device even more useful.

    $399 might be expensive for someone who don't read a lot of books. I personally know friends who buy and read 3-4 books a month. If you add up the money you save from buying e-books vs. paper books. You will get your return in less than a year. And what is better than saving a few trees by printing the books on paper?

    I think the concept is okay. Especially the display, it is suppose to be good to read under the sun. But it just look plain ugly! I don't want to get one this Christmas.
