Euro 2008 has reached the semi-final stage now, and this is a very intriguing match-up.

Germany overcame a loss to Croatia to advance to the quarter-finals, then proceeded to take care of Portugal to reach the final four. Turkey, meanwhile, continued to come back at the last minute of their games; their latest effort was against Croatia in a dramatic PK win.

On paper, Germany should be the favourite. But, if you use Croatia as a measuring stick (a Croat fan like me would always do), then shouldn't Turkey be the team to beat, since they were the only team that could beat Croatia?
