Mobile social networking is social networking where one or more individuals of similar interests or commonalities, conversing and connecting with one another using the mobile phone. Much like web based social networking, mobile social networking occurs in virtual communities. A current trend for Internet social networking websites such as MySpace and Facebook is to turn mobile. Will there be one vendor dominate the entire market of mobile social network in US?

    well no time limit here, so I assume it be till the end of 2008.
    where noone will dominate because the market itself is in seed stage - mig33 seems to be abit promising, but one shouldnt forget facebook and myspace... actually in mobile it will be all about platforms used by the networks, platforms like fireeagle for lacating, google or yahoo maps fpr maps etc. those platfomrs actually will represent sort of meta-networks IMHO

      then who do you think can do? I forgot to mention myblolog by the way - they misht not be the dominator but they are definetely the sexiest web-socnet-gone-mobile ever... have you heard what they are doing around lifestreaming and reality mining in general? f$%^ing beautiful I say :)

    I believe either MySpace or Google will dominate the mobile market in US. MySpace is, traditionally, has a larger market share in US. Google will enter the market with its open-source mobile technology bundled with its vast amount of data and useful app.

      honestly, I dont think google will enter this market directly as a player... they surely tend to be like the UN for some segments (actually for those segments that they feel thay have the power to rule). Or maybe like NATO ;) when android phones are mainstream, google wont need to launch a socnet app themselves - they will just pick the cream of other's labour and investment :)
