President-elect Obama has a big job ahead in taking US through one of the greatest economic crisis, but foreign policy has always been a big part of US politics as well. The Secretary of State, therefore, is one of the most important posts.

Reports have just come out that Hilary Clinton, former first lady and the rival of Obama, is being seriously considered to replace current secretary of state Rice. Others rumoured to be in the running include former presidential contender John Kerry, and Republican senator Chuck Hagel, who threw his support to Obama instead of Republican candidate John McCain.
