What is ZiiTrend?
Which man will win the 2008 French Open Tournament?
black-shoulder ( Score Rank: #3 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) black-shoulder  |  was scored on 09-Jun-2008 (126 days ago)
One of the more difficult courts to play on, one where even champions like Roger Federer and Pete Sampras can never win, but an 17-year-old boy who cramped and could not walk did (Michael Chang in 1989). Who will win the men's draw of this year's version of the French Open (aka Roland-Garros)?

Rafael Nadal is the three-time defending champion.

Nadal thumped Federer 6:1, 6:3, 6:0 in less than two hours to win his fourth French Open title in a row, matching Bjorn Borg's record for consecutive titles.

The semi-final players are Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Gael Monfils. I pretty sure Nadal will win.

Nadal has beaten Federer on clay again... he has only lost once against Federer on clay... and has won 3 French Opens in a row... he has to be the odds-on favourite to win again.

Federer has been plagued by nagging injuries so far this year, and has never been a winner on the red clay. This has traditionally been a tournament won by an Southwestern European player, and Nadal has won 3 straight... It's very difficult for me NOT to pick him to repeat.

Roddick is a bust. Jimmy Connors apparently cannot teach him the intangibles that are needed to win.

Djokovic is a dark horse... but he hasn't proven that he can win on clay either...
