    WiFi is passe! WiMax is much better and cheaper to implement. Hope it becomes a reality!

    none of the above, if this happens, look for a small city, less then a million people, more tha likely in the heartland, say in or around Kansas City

    WiFi has been proven to be expensive and flawed in Metro rollouts. Look at Earthlink's attempts and Google pulling out of the SF deal. I used free metro wifi in two different cities in the US and both experiences left a lot to be desired. At least cellular service from AT&T and Verizon works reliably (even though it's slow compared to true wired broadband).

    Free Wi-Fi means users have to see lots of ads while logging in. Do you guys mind using ad-supported free wi-fi?
