Which Canucks prospects will make the big club at the start of the season?
In a year where aggressive free-agent signing fails (hello, Mats Sundin) and trades could not be made, the Vancouver Canucks are entering into the 08-09 season with a lot of uncertainties. Yes, they have an all-world goalie in Roberto Luongo, and has a solid defence, but who will score the goals? No more Markus Naslund, no more Brendan Morrison, no more Trevor Linden...
This does open the doors for a bunch of prospects though. Among them are Michael Grabner and Cody Hodgson - Grabner has great hands, and Hodgson is believed to be progressing faster than most prospects in the system. Of course, there are Jason Jaffray, Jannik Hanson and the likes, who had shown flashes of good play in the past two seasons as well.
Who, among the following prospects, do you think will make the Canucks opening line-up?
I want to see Cody Hodgson make it, but I have a strong feeling that he will fade a little as pre-season continues, and would be sent back to the OHL for more development when the season starts.
