The "Detroit Three" are all on the ropes after years of ignoring the reality of needing to design and build fuel efficient & energy friendly vehicles.
Chrysler appears to be the first in line to fail the question is when.

Has anyone elce had problems with there chrysler voyager se because we have had the, steering & brake locking while in motion and almost had a crash, and then when once the chrysler dealer had it the said it was normal and nothing to worry about???? before that the cable snaped 3 times on the accelorator pedal and emergency cut out on the whole car?? and then to top it all up yesterday the little white box connected to the brake pedel snapped off and the brake lights were then constantly on. Aparently They were all nothing to worry about and all common.

From the looks of the news this morning I guess I should have posted GM instead of Chrysler as the first to "go"
I think that you may be right tho einstin2. I DO NOT like the idea of the government nationalizing ANY of the problem businesses. Smacks of fascism.

Chrystler will live on, though probably only because it will be nationalized before the gov't allows it to fail. the UAW is too important to the dems for any of the big three to be let go.
