There had been a lot of hype recently regarding hydrogen fueled cars. And Honda and GM are among the manufacturers who release the test version of their hydrogen cars. Here is the new article about the newly tested Honda FCX Clarity:
http://ap.google.com/arti... According to Honda, the car won't be ready for mass production until 2018. That's a long time to wait. So, here is the prediction. Do you think there will be at least one model of sub-50K USD hydrogen car (by one of the major manufacturers) by 2015?

They're likely to cost less than $50,000 because you lease them for about $500 a month.
That means it'll cost $50,000 dollars to own it for eight years and four months.
By then I'm sure a better/cheaper alternative will exist.
Besides, there's an economic incentive to produce green cars now; cheaper fuel prices.
Yes, Honda is going to push out 200 or so of these hydrogen car in the next 3 years. Hopefully it will all come to a cost below $50K. But if we are only talking about 250 hydrogen cars in california, then that's too bad for people who want to own one. The chance is that the waiting list is already full. Most people will have wait at least 6 to 10 years to get one.
