Not much in the way of predictions or insight to say pancreatic cancer will take Steve. Here is a prediction: upon his hospitalization, resignation or death - Apple will drop 25%. I will wait two days and then buy 50K worth. I will try to hold this for a year. He has competent heirs this time around. The established move, especially in hardware is a trend that will not pull back with his demise.

According to New York Times, Jobs health condition is not life-threatening, whatever that means.

Still, I don't think he will step down unless his health is getting really bad. Even if he cannot function as a CEO, he will still get involved somehow since he is a big icon of Apple.

The media is already talking about the need of heir planning by Steve Jobs.

I think it is important to have such a plan, but this plan doesn't need to be public information though.

I agree that it is very important too. But the plan should not be made public, because no one really need to know until Jobs actually steps down.

Reports about Steve's health is now everywhere on the Internet. This explains why the APPL price has been dropping like crazy. Investors probably think Steve Job's is an important part of the Apple brand name and the company operation. Without him, Apple is just not very "apple".

Let's hope jobs is okay. I am counting on him to lead Apple in making more cool products.

First, his health problem isn't even confirmed. Second, even if there is a health issue, he might stay.

Even if Jobs's cancer comes back, I think he won't step down unless it is getting really bad. He is the big icon who represent what Apple is today. And without him, the Apple brand just doesn't worth as much. So, he will try his best not to let his health getting into his way.
