Steve Jobs sues "The Big Apple". Will Apple drop the suit in Q2 2008?
Homer ( Score Rank: #7 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) Homer  |  closed on 01-Jul-2008 (105 days ago)
Steve Jobs loses his mind and decide to have Apple suing the New York City, universally known as the Big Apple, for trademark infringement. The suit stems from New York's environmental awareness campaign, GreeNYC, and its logo, which uses the outline of an apple, complete with a little leaf on top. Filed in September, the suit had gone unnoticed until this week. The California computer giant claims the drawing is too similar to its ubiquitous trademark.

94% of Fox television viewers who saw the news thought Apple is doing the wrong thing and ask NYC to drop Apple and its products, including the iPhone and Macs. New Yorkers are pissed off!

Let's predict if Apple will stop suing NYC in Q2 2008.

I think Steve Jobs felt some cheap publicity was in order, Their Attorneys weren't real busy so why not, are people going to throw away their Ipods, their Iphones, sure a couple dozen may, but Apple already got their money, Apple and The Big Apple will come to some kind of stupid agreement, like leaving off the green leaf or some other, but this won't go thru the court system. Big Apple, Little Apple, good publicity....

It's just a way to promote the brandname, equalizing the importance of Apple with NYC. Well .. bad trick imo.

Sweet, Apple is trying to piss off the whole NYC. I wonder if the suit is worth the company's reputation. In a few years, I can see Apple as the most hated high tech company instead of Microsoft. Steve's arrogance will help speed that up.

The Apple slogan "Think Different". This time, it is a bit TOO different. You don't want the world to hate you, and your products. So Steve, stop acting stupid.
