Got a question. Is there an official nomination list online? Or the nomination list is never released?

Schekman (Berkeley) and Rothman (Columbia) pioneered the study of "vesicular transport" within the cell--a fundamental biological process
Lander (MIT/Harvard) Venter (Private) ( (and perhaps) Botstein (Princeton) (and perhaps others) were the primary drivers in mapping and sequencing of the human genome
Nasmyth (Oxford) did groundbreaking work on how chromosomes segregate
Pollard (Yale) early fundamental work on the cellular 'skeleton' (i.e. the cytoskeleton)
Gage (Salk Institute)--pioneering work on 'plasticity' of the adult nervous system (gives hope to adults w/ nerve damage!)
Massague' (Sloan Kettering)--work on growth factors/hormones and cancer/metastasis

all (most) have won prizes that are often predictors of the nobel.
