MLB: AL MVP 2008
fireeater ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) fireeater  |  was scored on 19-Nov-2008 (49 days ago)
Half of the American League's postseason class will get there without a dominant bat. On another likely playoff team, two legitimate candidates could blot each other out.

Indeed, depending on your perspective, either the race for the 2008 AL Most Valuable Player Award is one of the most intriguing in years -- or the perfect scenario for blasphemy.

Who will win the AL MVP Award 2008?

    Dustin Pedroia.

Where was Dustin Pedroia when he learned that he was the Most Valuable Player of the American League? Most fittingly, the second baseman of the Boston Red Sox was on his way to the gym.

A player whose talent had been largely influenced by his desire, Pedroia doesn't like to miss a workout, whether it is November or any other month of the year. But at the urging of his wife, Kelli, Pedroia finally gave himself a day off.

    predicted: [ Most Likely ] [ 75% ] Josh Hamilton, Rangers

How can Josh Hamilton not win? He is leading the league in almost every single offensive category, and his RBI numbers are just ridiculous. And, finally, he is one of the best stories in professional sports EVER - from #1 overall pick to a drug addict that has no chance of even playing ball again to the player he is now... I don't see how he doesn't win.
