Mississippi: will Obama or McCain lead in the battleground state?
voteSense ( Score Rank: #85 based on predictions in the last 30 days ) voteSense  |  will close on 04-Nov-2008 (22 days from now)
Mississippi is the state with the highest-percentage black population (37 percent) and also the largest number of black elected officials (more than 850). But nearly all were elected by constituencies - cities, counties or congressional districts - where a majority of voters were black.

"There are a whole lot of things that can determine in a racially sensitive country how race plays" in politics, said Ron Walters, who helped run Jesse Jackson's presidential campaigns and is now a professor at the University of Maryland.

The CNN's poll indicate that McCain is leading in the state (as of July 21, 2008)

There are 6 electoral votes from Mississippi. Which candidate will receive the most votes in Mississippi?
