On July 2007, there had been news that FOX picked up the Halo movie project, and continue on its production after it went dead. The projected release date for the movie is summer 2009.     predicted: [ 30% ] Yes, Halo movie by summer 09
    Unless there's a boost to the Halo franchise first, I don't see how the project could be financially interesting. The only successful computer-game movies so far are the ones that were released not too long after the game was hip. Everything that waited a couple years (Wing Commander, Mario, Street Fighter or whatever it was) flopped.

    Not sure if the movie will go dead again. Rumors have it that FOX wants to kill the project. But then we need more news to verify that. http://www.product-reviews.net/2007/1...

    I am really looking forward to see Master Chief in the big screen. I wonder who the actor will be?

    Hope the project can survive this time. I am sure FOX spent tons of money to buy the licensing of the movie. Sure they mean business.
