voteSense ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) voteSense  |  was scored on 22-Oct-2008 (395 days ago)
On Oct 15, national registered voters continue to prefer Barack Obama (50%) to John McCain (43%) for president.

U.S. presidential nominees John McCain and Barack Obama square off for their third and final debate Wednesday night, a contest that some observers say could be the Republican senator's last chance to turn his political fortunes around. A CBS News/New York Times poll has Obama leading McCain by 53 per cent to 39 per cent among likely voters, the widest margin of any poll in the campaign so far. Other polls suggest McCain is also trailing in key battleground states.

The Wednesday result is produced by encompassing Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday's interviewing.

What is the poll result posted on Oct 22?

Barack Obama holds a significant lead over John McCain in both Gallup likely voter models -- by 5 points using the “traditional” model and by 8 points using the “expanded” model. Registered voters prefer Obama by 51% to 42%.

Let's stick with the traditional model.
