Future of George W. Bush
voteSense ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) voteSense  |  closed on 01-Jun-2009 (172 days ago)
George Walker Bush is the forty-third and current President of the United States. He served as the forty-sixth Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000 before being sworn in as President on January 20, 2001. His current term will end at noon (ET) on January 20, 2009.

Bush received increasingly heated criticism, probably the most among all US President.

This prediction is just for fun. What will he do (or become) after his Presidential term?

Lets go through them one by one:
Political career is shot - no-one's gonna nominate him for anything.
Volunteer work - maybe, but I doubt he'd get much publicity for it.
Executive - you must be joking, right? Would you let him handle your business?
An author - this one is a pretty strong potential, though whatever he writes would most likely be ghost-written for him.
A speaker - hah. If someone writes the speeches for him. They may trot him out now and again at semi-political rallies, but I doubt anyone would find him interesting enough to listen to full time.
A professor? - of SFA maybe.
Do nothing - 0%, see below.
Other (most likely) - sit at the family ranch, life off the family wealth, give hand-jobs to big oil at social functions, try to keep his daughters out of the porn industry.

He'll probably retire to Texas, sit back and watch the country further its slide into socialism.

Start spending the money his family oil business earned in the past 8 years. Or prepare his brother Jeb Bush to run for the next presidency, so the Bush family can continue to rule America.

Most politicians seem to become authors and pundits. I doubt we have heard the last from him.

I'm sure he'll be busy writing, speaking, volunteering, and even political relations - all the trappings of the upper class. Wonder if everyone will be adverse to giving him a job. Probably not.

He can't possibly do NOTHING, can he? FYI, Bush has already authored or co-authored several books, and I'm sure he will be speaking to various groups, particularly certain religious groups. As a former president, he is almost certainly going to join force with certain charitable organizations.

But I think the most time would be spent doing various diplomatic work that is pseudo-politics. If you look at most former US presidents, be that Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan, George Bush Sr., or Bill Clinton, they remain a public figure, and are used as a diplomat in US foreign policies...

O I forgot to add one more option. He may be sued for all misconduct in White House.

What can they sue him for? He was using his presidential power to do what he has done... one can disagree with his policies, but sue him? For what?
