In our previous Canon Powershot G10 predictions, some fellow users mentioned about the desire to have the next generation Canon G10 including a faster lens.
In the old days of Canon G6, you still get a fast lens (F2.0 to F3.0). But when Canon moved to G7, they decided to increase the zoom range from 35-140mm to 25-210mm. Because of that, they are forced to make a slower lens (F2.8 to F4.8) out of that. Here is a comparison between G6 and G7: http://www.dpreview.com/r... To a lot of G-series fans, that's a big disappointment. This has probably forced a lot of users to start buying D-SLR instead. Canon probably wanted that outcome. But as a camera user, I would love to see the next G10 with a fast lens (F2.0 for the wide angle range). Do you think it will happen?

http://www.canon-digital-camera-batte... . and G7 usa a traditional battery nb-2lh, G10 use a battery nb-7l, which is a new model that never used in other canon camera.
