Let's predict if Canon will raise the bar in the next version of x0D series camera and decide to support full frame sensor. Full frame sensor means there will NOT be a 1.6 field of view crop.
Here is the specification for the current version Canon EOS 50D camera: http://www.dpreview.com/n... Please note that so far, all the x0D series cameras support the EF-S interface which requires the 1.6 crop factor. In other words, they don't have full frame sensors.

I would love to see better flash algorithm from Canon. I think 50D is already a great DLR camera. Canon even claimed the new 50D body is better built compared to older models.
btw, what's the big deal of having a full frame sensor anyways. It only matters to people with lots of L lens who want to maximize the original zoom range. But for people with lots of L lens, they have the money for a 5D anyways.
