Canon EOS 60D supports full frame sensor
Homer ( Score Rank: User did not make predictions in the last 30 days ) Homer  |  will close on 01-Mar-2010 (100 days from now)
Let's predict if Canon will raise the bar in the next version of x0D series camera and decide to support full frame sensor. Full frame sensor means there will NOT be a 1.6 field of view crop.

Here is the specification for the current version Canon EOS 50D camera:

Please note that so far, all the x0D series cameras support the EF-S interface which requires the 1.6 crop factor. In other words, they don't have full frame sensors.

50D is just announced and it is not even on the shelf yet. And now, we are talking about 60D already.

I would love to see better flash algorithm from Canon. I think 50D is already a great DLR camera. Canon even claimed the new 50D body is better built compared to older models.

No freaking way. Again, if people want a full frame camera, they can get a 5D. But it is nice to dream about 60D having a full frame sensor.

btw, what's the big deal of having a full frame sensor anyways. It only matters to people with lots of L lens who want to maximize the original zoom range. But for people with lots of L lens, they have the money for a 5D anyways.
