    According to wikipedia, the sales for NA in Jul07 was 1.4 mil. And Japan was 1 mil.

    Compared to Wii with 3.8mil (NA) and 2.95mil (Jap), that's pretty bad.

      I think Sony will pay big this time on gaming industry. Two ways to help
      1. Blue Ray becomes HD DVD standard
      2. Lower PS3 price to $200 USD

      Blu-ray is gaining steam. I am confident that it will be THE HD DVD format in the future. But I am not too sure Sony will drop the price of PS3 to below even $300 USD. There are quite some fancy hardware in there.
