I closed the topic as Al Gore didn't join the Iowa Democratic Caucuses.

Not joining the race will win himself more respect within the party. He is still young, maybe next time.

Maybe next time. Running a presidential campaign takes time. And simply winning an award doesn't cut it.

Too late to join in the race. Most of the campaigns have already started long time ago. It takes time convince voters to go for you.

It is interesting how people react negatively to how much money Gore is making nowadays:
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,3...

I personally think someone has to bring up the global warming issue one way or the other. It doesn't really matter how much money such a person is making out of it.

I take back my previous prediction... I am starting to be convinced that he won't run too. Clinton has a good chance this time, so why waste that. The party don't need more meaningless competition internally. So, Gore will probably help out Clinton in this race by doing a bunch of PR work instead.

We will wait till Jan when the Democratic Party will begin its primary race. By that time, if he does not have any announcement, no one will expect him to run. After all, I think he is a good man, but may not be as bright as Clinton.

Why not? Having Al Gore joining the race can keep the global warming discussing going during the election period. That is good for the democrats.

I am starting to think that he might not run for president this time. But I still think he has a chance if he does.

"I don't have plans to be a candidate again so I don't really see it in that context at all," Gore said when asked in an interview with Norway's NRK public television aired on Wednesday about how the award would affect his political future.

The chance is quite high. I predicted 45%. If he join the race, he might stand a good chance to win too.
