I know this is a bit tasteless, but we're already having enough trouble keeping stationary buildings up. (9/11)
To paraphrase the NASA pilot, do we really want to live on top of 1000 moving parts weighing several hundred tonnes, all provided by the lowest tender?

I concur. I don't see a magical rotating tower can help our current economy. So, why build one?

Things don't happen quickly here in Vancouver, so I don't think it will happen any time soon.

We don't have the hot money to build such large infrastructure. And with the current economical downturn, it is close to impossible.

Too bad that my city is too small for such a marvelous landmark. Hope they will build a smaller version that fits small towns.
